Why We’re Launching the Fabulous Phonics Box

Updated: Sep 5

A full month of mapped phonics joy. For families. For confidence. For progress.

We’re launching to take away the guesswork

For families. For children. For anyone supporting reading and writing at home. Each Fabulous Phonics Box supports a full month of phonics learning, carefully mapped to build confidence and progress through expert-led instruction.

How the cycle works

Let’s get started. Each box begins with a short, expert-led lesson, designed to build confidence and gently layer progress.

What families told us

“How do I help at home without confusing them?”

“What should I do after the school sounds?”

“How do I know if they’re making progress?”

The Fabulous Phonics Box is our answer. It’s not a scheme. It’s a full month of phonics joy. Handmade. Story-led. Rooted in real-life practice.

What’s inside and how it helps

Each box follows a clear, supportive cycle:

Learn – Watch short, expert-led lessons that introduce key sounds

Practise – Explore mapped activity sheets that reinforce learning through play

Apply – Use books and stories to anchor sounds in real reading and writing

Support – Track progress with flashcards, charts, and gentle guidance from me in our private Facebook group

We’ve ripple-tested every detail:

  • Hand-painted flashcards for emotional clarity and memory anchoring

  • Activity sheets designed for age and stage, with SEND-friendly prompts

  • Progress charts and visual aids to celebrate small wins

  • A referencing system that supports everyone in the room

And behind it all? Me. Supporting you every step of the way. Through the private group, through the lessons, and through every resource we share.

Jane Mulqueeney, founder of Fabulous at Phonics—supporting families through every handmade resource, lesson, and story.
Handmade. Heart-led. Here for you.
